The way Riot incorporated the futuristic theme into his kit, particularly with regards to his shadow (which is pixelated and vanishes in a cool “shadow deleted” manner) is really remarkable. It’s no secret that I love the PROJECT skins, but this skin is among my favorites. While his Q and ultimate animations are a bit underwhelming, this skin is still definitely worth the buy. It swoops when it slashes and zooms back to the champion, rather than just kind of bursting out of his model. The best part of this skin is that the shadow, the most iconic parts of the kit, feels like a shadow. I mean, Zed really looks like a demonic ghoul and all this new animations and ability effects go along with that. The look of this skin is simply cool as hell. The blue flames surrounding his shadow are really cool, and this is one of the few skins of his that have chromas available, but basically, that is where the upgrades over the base skin end. The Championship skin could have been a game-changer for Zed. Unfortunately, it doesn’t offer much more than nostalgia. The skin is probably the best of the SKT championship skins, giving the champion a really cool and unique style and upgrading those blades of his. This was the skin that honors the iconic performance by SKT T1 mid laner Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok during the Season 3 World Championship.
